Drivers with a Nectar card can bag 1 million points before July 20

Drivers with an Electric Vehicle (EV) have the chance to bag a whopping one million Nectar points simply for charging up their car before July 20.

Sainsbury’s said EV drivers who charge their car at any Smart Charge location and add their Nectar card will automatically be entered into a draw for a huge points prize. Each Nectar point is worth half a penny so one million points is worth at least £5,000 in rewards. But the value of the Nectar points varies depending on where you choose to spend them and if you take advantage of any partner or special offers, which can sometimes boost the amount points are worth.

Sainsbury’s Smart Charge is the supermarket’s ultra-rapid EV charging points across its stores, with each 150kW charging bay allowing drivers to fully charge their cars in just 30 minutes.

The charging hubs are located at Sainsbury’s stores around the UK, all with access to 24/7 driver support. Drivers who visit one of these charging points before the deadline of Sunday, July 20, could find themselves rewarded with £5,000 in rewards just in time for the summer, with the Nectar points able to be spent at more than 500 of Nectar’s big-brand partners.

These include British Airways, Eurostar, Caffe Nero, Sky, ASOS and VUE cinemas, as well as Sainsbury’s, Argos, Habitat and TU Clothing.
