UK’s ‘slowest depreciating car’ unveiled – bad news for bargain hunters

Experts have revealed the UK’s “slowest depreciating car” with an iconic Italian marque with an eye-watering budget topping the list. According to an analysis from WhatCar? the Lamborghini Urus retains the highest value three years after rolling off forecourts.

The stunning SUV is still valued at 75% of its price after 36 months on the road, the highest of any on the market. Specialists warn that road users can expect to pick up a brand new Urus SUV for a jaw-dropping £186,509. However, three years later the vehicle was still available for around £139,900, a price drop of £46,909.

WhatCar? said: “The Urus is one of the most exotic luxury SUVs money can buy, blending jaw-dropping pace with enough practicality to be usable every day.

“The standard 4.0T FSI V8 version produces an explosive 657bhp, which launches the Urus away from a standing start with enough power to have you thinking you're in one of the brand's sleeker, more low-slung models.”

The 4.0 litre V8 Urus is one of the most evocative models in the market and is certainly set to send tongues wagging.

According to Lamborghini, the model is the first Super Sport Utility Vehicle in the world with the Urus mixing performance with practicality.

The vehicle is capable of reaching a stunning 190mph within 0-62mph in just 3.5 seconds.

However, the model still offers a generous boost space of 616 litres with the seats remaining up, making it ideal for the whole family.

With the seats pushed back, the capacity can increase to 1,596 litres making it comparable to other competitors in the stacked SUV market.

However, experts have warned the Urus doesn't have the best fuel economy with an expected range of just 20mpg.

WhatCar? added: “Don’t think the Urus is some wild beast, though; it stays remarkably upright through bends and, thanks to four-wheel steering, feels more agile than its size might suggest.

“Even better, the Urus is the SUV which keeps the biggest percentage of its value after you’ve owned it for three years. However, to keep that in context, that still equates to more than £46,000 in lost value.”
